Connecting Dots.

Lines divide and lines connect. Divisions help bring order to chaos.

Our studio defines interiors with a unique aesthetic and integrated programming.  Founded in 2013, our Nashville studio works on projects nationwide and is a certified minority Woman-Owned Business (WBE). Led by certified NCIDQ and LEED AP® interior designers, our work ranges from hotels and mixed residential, to restaurants, sports venues, and workspaces.

Inspired design begins with connecting the dots.

Our designers are educated in the science of interior architecture, functionality, and space planning. We develop highly customized interior spaces, through detailed construction drawings, custom lighting and furniture packages, and commission art packages. We collaborate with our clients, and we find innovative solutions to meet their individual style, budget, and timeline.

We offer the following core services for commercial design:

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with LYNE on five projects, varying from office to multi-family spaces. I am always impressed by their unwavering commitment to the design intent, while still ensuring that the project is delivered within the set schedule and budget. Their passion for their work was contagious, and their positive attitude made the entire process enjoyable for the whole team.

Lynley Hammes, IIDA

Founder

Lynley Hammes

Lynley was born in Georgia and grew up in middle Tennessee. She remembers pleading with her grandmother during summer visits to Atlanta to take her downtown so they could ride the elevator to the top of Portman’s iconic Peachtree Plaza for Shirley Temple’s at the hotel restaurant. She moved to Nashville over twenty-five years ago to pursue a degree in Interior Design and fortuitously met her BFF and future business partner, Shannon, at Watkins College of Art. Always described as a dreamer, Lynley found her purpose through a career in design.

Lynley ran an interiors department for a commercial architectural firm, before launching LYNE in 2013 and recruiting her BFF a few years later. Recognizing the opportunity to gain better creative control of their projects, they expanded their practice to include procurement, and they offer their specialized FF&A services to other design firms, restaurateurs, and hoteliers.

Lynley specializes in commercial interiors and FF&A and chooses to focus on hospitality and multi-family design. From conceptual design to detailed construction drawings, she finds inspiration from her world and stateside travels and her (still) favorite hobby, affectionately coined, The 5-Star Bar Crawl. She enjoys CrossFit with her husband, John, and they work and live together with their cockapoo, Lola, in East Nashville.

Shannon Mikula, ASID, LEED AP

Partner

Shannon was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, but has called Nashville home for over twenty-five years.   She has always enjoyed creative problem solving and space planning.  Even as a child she would sketch floor plans and rearrange furniture in her family home.  Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Watkins College of Art & Design.  She began her career in a multi-disciplinary real estate, design and development firm, which taught her the importance of seeing a project from every stakeholder’s perspective and its vitality to the project’s success.  In 2016, she joined LYNE as a Co-Owner and Principal, to work alongside her longtime friend and college classmate, Lynley.

Shannon has design experience in corporate, multifamily, healthcare, athletic, hospitality, restaurant and retail facilities. In addition to her leadership role, she is involved in every aspect of the design process. She enjoys engaging in collective creative process required make a client’s vision become a reality.

When Shannon’s not working, she loves to travel with her husband, Toby, check out newest culinary experience in town, snuggling up with her rescue dog, Abby and getting to the beach as much as possible!

Savannah Lane

Interior Designer

One of my favorite pastimes is working puzzles. That’s one of my favorite parts of designing is figuring out how everything works together and seeing that final piece fall into place!

I am a Nashville native, born and raised. My childhood home is my favorite place on earth, located on the bank of the Cumberland River. My mother, who is a pharmacist by trade, designed our house from almost the ground up so I grew up surrounded by construction as there was almost constant renovations. Nothing much to note about where I went to school… I went to Davidson Academy my whole life which is a private school north of Nashville. I went to Tennessee Tech my first year but transferred to UT Chattanooga for their design program.

I have been working in commercial design in Nashville since I graduated college in 2017. I love working to help contribute to the growth of the city I call home.

I think my biggest skill set is spatial awareness and how it relates to interior design. Whether it’s room layouts and arrangements, or visual balance through colors, textures and patterns, or the proportion and scale of the objects around us. I believe it takes all of these things to create a cohesive design that ultimately leaves our clients happy and comfortable in their new space.

My hobbies are reading a good book and trying new restaurants around town with my husband! We also live near the zoo so we like to go with friends and families a few times a year. Fun fact: instead of white I wore a yellow, floral gown and designed my whole wedding around it.

My husband and I live in South Nashville with our four adorable, crazy cats: Tony, Cinnamon, Queso and Bruiser. Fun fact: our house was featured in Southern Living right before we bought it so we knew it was meant to be!
